The Company is comprised of unique performing artists whose talents merge together to present a single vision. The main ingredient of the Company’s repertoire is DANCE OFFERED THROUGH THE VEHICLE OF THEATER.

The company has collaborated with such artists as Michael Jackson, Malik Yoba, Max Roach, Savion Glover, and Jennifer Holiday. They have performed in major venues and festivals including The United Nations, Acapulco Black Film Festival, BAM Dance Africa, 651 Arts, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Jacob’s Pillow and Lincoln Center Out of Doors. In addition, members of the company have collaborated with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Seattle Theatre Group, The Dance Theatre of Harlem, and Jubilation!
Our artists have performed in Disney’s The Lion King, Maafa, MTV Live with Britney Spears, Fosse and Donald Byrd’s Harlem Nutcracker. The company has had the opportunity to tour nationally to Washington, Ohio and Tennessee, and internationally to Italy, England, St. Maarten, Jamaica and Germany. It is also
- a dance school for children 3 to 18, with an impressive track record for spotting and nurturing raw talent to produce young performers who gain entry into New York’s top performing arts high schools and go on to win competitions and enter leading conservatories.
- A parallel effort within the dance school aims to train all students - even those who do not pursue dance careers - to become disciplined, responsible teens and productive adults.
Besides the dance school, Creative Outlet’s Arts in Education program hires talented teaching artists who instruct children within the New York City public schools about African-American cultural heritage and develops their understanding of the performing arts.
