Imani Griffith
Imani Griffith, a Queens, NY native, earned her B.F.A. in Dance from the University of the Arts in 2018, where she developed a deep interest in Hip Hop/Street Dance under the guidance of Dinita "Queen Dinita" Clark. After graduating, she became a principal dancer for Just Sole! Street Dance Theater Company, performing throughout Philadelphia, including at the Pennsylvania Ballet's "Shut Up and Dance" and The International Association of Blacks in Dance Festival.
Imani has competed in prominent U.S. competitions like the "Ladies of Hip Hop Festival" and "Step Ya Game." In 2019, she won her first House Dance battle at "Second Sundae" in Philadelphia, and in 2022, she was invited to compete in the "Red Bull Dance Your Style" battle in Washington, D.C.
Imani holds an M.F.A. in Dance from the University of the Arts and currently teaches at West Chester University and Temple University. She also serves as the Social Media Manager for "Funky Sole Fundamentals" and has been a Rehearsal Director and Assistant to the Choreographer for works set by Kyle and Dinita Clark.
