Nicole De Weever
Nicole Chantal de Weever is the Founder/Coordinator/President of the Art Saves Lives Foundation and a Cultural Ambassador for St. Maarten. She is a graduate of New York University Tisch School of the Arts and has received the Fred and Adele Astaire Award for Best Female Dancer on Broadway, as well as the ACCA Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus for the musical Fela!.
Ms. de Weever has performed on various high-profile stages, including The View, The Stephen Colbert Report, the 64th Annual Tony Awards, and the BET Honors Awards. Her Broadway credits include Fela! both on Broadway and Off-Broadway, and she has toured internationally with the production. She has worked with renowned choreographers such as Katherine Dunham, Bill T. Jones, and Rob Ashford.
Nicole appeared as an actress in American Gangster, directed by Ridley Scott, and has been featured in commercials for the Oxygen Channel and the PBS special Dancing with Life: Katherine Dunham. She was an assistant to choreographer Jeffrey Page for Beyoncé’s video Girls Run the World and other notable projects.
Ms. de Weever has also worked with artists like Lauryn Hill and Angelique Kidjo and performed with companies such as Forces of Nature Dance Theatre and Cirque du Soleil. Her contributions to the arts have been recognized in the Dictionary of Caribbean and Afro-Latin American Biography, published by Oxford Reference.
