Ryan Greenidge (African)

Ryan Greenidge is an accomplished drummer who has toured with professional dance companies as Djoule African, Ayolawa, Kowteff. and Asase Yaa throughout his career.  He currently drums with Asase Yaa and makes annual trips to Guinea West Africa to enhance his skills and talents.  Ryan has performed throughout the Caribbean, Asia, Europe and the United States. He has a true passion for drumming and enjoys teaching in his spare time. Having been introduced to drumming at a very young age, Ryan is excited to share his experiences and knowledge about drumming, which is grounded in African tradition and culture, and its relevance to dance and music globally.  Ryan currently resides in Brooklyn, New York, where he was born and raised.

Taylor Lovett (Hip Hop)

Taylor Lovett danced with C.O since she was 3 years old. She attended PPAS and LaGuardia high school for middle and high school. She went on to Morgan State University where she has a masters in political science. Her focus being hip hop  She has danced for artists such as Teyana Taylor, Young Jeezy and Toni Braxton. She has worked with youth and created Taylord2Lovett llc Dance Program. She is excited to share her work with us.

Rukiya McCormick (Modern/ Theatre)

Rukia McCormick is born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and has trained in artistic forms such as acting, dance and voice. She began her dance training in various styles including West African, Ballet, Jazz and Modern technique at Creative Outlet dance theatre of Brooklyn. Creative Outlet is where she began to have a burning desire to learn more about dance. Rukiya then attended the Professional Performing Art School of Manhattan as a Musical Theatre Major. Here her vocabulary in musical theatre styled voice and dance was expanded. She decided  that she wanted to focus on dance and receive more technical training, so she continued her high school years as a dance major. Rukiya then trained extensively at the Alvin Ailey School and Dance theatre of Harlem. Rukiya has since received her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in dance at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angles, California. Post graduation she joined the BLOC LA family, where she has since worked with artist such as Dua Lipa and Miguel. Rukiya also has live stage performance experience such as, Carnival of Hollywood. Los Angeles has challenged and aided the woman and artist she has become now. Now back and currently residing in New York, Rukiya is ready to share every aspect of her God given gifts, talents and abilities.

Victor Reddick (Contemporary Ballet)

Victor Reddick, a native of New York City, began his training at Creative Outlet under mentor Jamel Gaines. He attended Fiorello H LaGuardia Performing Arts High School.  He also studied at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City and the Boston Ballet. Victor received the 2003 NFAA Arts Recognition Award in Modern Dance . Previously, Mr. Reddick was a member of Creative Outlet, Spectrum Dance Theater, Lula Washington Dance Company, Rituals and Ballet Noir. He was also in the cast of the Broadway play "AIDA" Taiwanese tour, starred as lead in "Othello" in Othelle IN DANZA in Rome Italy, and performed in the Seattle Opera’s “AIDA” the opera.  His also counts among his many achievements “Dance Africa” 98, 02, 07.

Antoinette Robinson (Basic Movement)

Antoinette Robinson Williams was born and raised in Brooklyn NY. She started dancing at 8 at JGCO. Antoinette has a love for the arts and teaching children. With the help from her mentor Jamel Gaines, Antoinette has taught modern dance and basic movement at JGCO for the past three years. In addition, she also teaches classes in modern dance and Zumba to pre-k kids at Phyl’s Academy in Brooklyn.

Taquirah Thompson (Ballet)

Taquirah Thompson was raised in Chicago, IL, attended Chicago Academy of the Arts, and trained at the Joffrey School on full scholarship. After graduating from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with her BFA, Taquirah made her NYC debut with Jamel Gains. She has since performed with Complexions Contemporary Ballet and Larry Keigwin’s Armory Galla.she has recently premiered “Exit Like An Animal” at the Joyce with Keigwin and Company. Taquirah is also a founding member of Nadine Bommer’s first company in the US. currently.
