Mission Statement

Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to use the artistic expression of dance and other integrated art forms to uplift communities through education, performance and cultural programming. The soul of our work is rooted in social justice, and spiritually connecting to one another through the arts.

Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet is an organization that recognizes that inequality and injustice, especially racial disparities exist throughout the United States and the world. It is our organization’s top priority to create opportunities for people of all diverse backgrounds to thrive. We vow to create diverse, inclusive works that promote justice. We will use our voice as artistic leaders to educate, inspire and create safe spaces to unify all people. We will create artistic and educational programs that teach cultural inclusion and we will empower our artists, students, staff and respective communities of color to meet their full potential.
