Our Mission
Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet is dedicated to using the artistic expression of dance and other integrated art forms to uplift communities through education, performance, and cultural programming. The soul of our work is rooted in social justice and spiritually connecting to one another through the arts.
Our Vision
At the heart of JGCO’s mission is a commitment to telling bold, powerful stories through dance. Our work fuses rigorous classical, contemporary, and modern technique with the soul and spirit of the African American tradition. Drawing on real events that have shaped the African American experience and the global fight for justice, our choreography explores themes of struggle, resilience, and empowerment.
Through every performance, we affirm that Black History is World History. History lives beyond the pages of a textbook: it can be felt, experienced, and shared. Our multimedia dance performances bring that history to life for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
