Naomi Townsend

Naomi Townsend is a Development and Storytelling professional, currently serving as Development Manager at JGCO. Raised in Shanghai and London and now based in New York, she draws on her global background to bring a worldly perspective to every project. Naomi has a strong foundation in administration and grant writing, specializing in crafting compelling narratives that inspire support for arts programs and connect communities.

She first discovered her passion for storytelling as a copywriting and administrative intern at an education consultancy, where she helped high-school students articulate their stories through college application essays, strategic planning, and creative brainstorming. Witnessing the power of a well-articulated story sparked Naomi to work at an even greater scale, committing to grant writing and development. Her background in Drama further enhances her ability to communicate and bring text to life, seamlessly aligning with her narrative approach to development. Naomi excels at translating complex ideas into engaging stories that advance organizational missions. She holds an honors BFA in English Literature and Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
