Theara Ward

Theara Ward trained at Jones Haywood School of Ballet, 1975-77, Ward began her professional career with the Dance Theatre of Harlem at 13 years old. Her first lead role was as The Priestess in Rythmetron, choreographed by Arthur Mitchell. She was often referred to as a “baby ballerina.” She made her debut in a principal role at 17 years old at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London. After 11 years with DTH, she moved on to musical theater in CATS, Paris, Black & Blue on Broadway and the role of “Ghost of Christmas Future” in the Madison Square Garden version of “A Christmas Carol”.
