Tommy Long Tran

Tommy Long Tran is a Vietnamese conceptual and fashion photographer and Community Engagement Manager at Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet. Born in Ho Chi Minh City , Vietnam and now based in New York, his work grows out of personal history and the textures of everyday life. He creates surreal fashion images that blur memory and imagination, often using fabric and movement to shape surreal atmospheres. At JGCO, Tommy builds relationships with schools and families, manages outreach for community programs, and documents the organization’s performances and events. His background in photography and community work informs a practice grounded in care, collaboration, and visual storytelling. Tommy holds a BFA in Photography & Imaging and a double minor in Producing and BEMT from NYU Tisch School of The Arts.
